Careers
Ching, Elaine & Co considers applications for legal careers in Malaysia at its Petaling Jaya and Setia Alam offices. Availability changes over time. This page explains the firm’s usual application paths for junior associates, pupils in chambers and interns; it does not confirm that a particular position is currently open.
Our practice areas include corporate and commercial work, initial public offerings and capital markets, legal due diligence, shareholders agreements and corporate restructuring and insolvency. Applicants can also read about our lawyers before deciding whether the firm’s work matches their interests.
Junior associates
The firm assesses junior-associate applications for attention to detail, accurate grammar and spelling, tidy document formatting, sound drafting skills, legal knowledge and an excellent command of written and spoken English.
Pupils in chambers
The same core qualities apply to pupillage applications. Candidates should present their experience and supporting documents clearly so the firm can understand their interests, writing ability and readiness for corporate legal work.
Internships
Internship opportunities may be available from time to time. Students may submit an expression of interest even when no internship date is advertised, but an application does not guarantee that a placement is available.
